Forever the pinnacle of world motor sport, Formula 1 is an ever changing scene of technological advancement. Gone are the days of open face helmets and huge wheels to be replaced by the modern Formula One car which has almost as much in common with a jet fighter as it does with an ordinary road car.
Aerodynamics has become key to success in the sport and F1 teams spend tens of millions of dollars on research and development each year. This huge investment has also seen phenomenal advancement in safety, braking and engine management all of which, in one way or another do find their way into the motor car of today.
